Cable Building

The cable building, built from 1892-1894, is a Beaux-Arts style building that originally headquartered and powered the Metropolitan Traction Company, one of the city's cable car companies. In 1999, the NYC Landmarks Preservation included the Cable Building as part of the NoHo Historic District.

Today, the building houses mixed use offices, a Crate and Barrel and the Angelika Film Center.
